Background
The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM) was founded in 2003 as a professional membership body servicing the tourism and hospitality industry throughout the world.

Key aims of OTHM are to make membership, qualifications, and continuous professional development accessible and relevant to individuals and employers in the world's largest industry.

OTHM provides a programme of professional qualifications that are designed for Student Members to develop progressively the skills and knowledge that they will need to help them in their careers.

OTHM Relationship
OTHM has a key relationship with London South Bank University allowing holders of the OTHM Higher Diploma to have direct entry to the final year of London South Bank University's Batchelor's degree programme BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality.

Students who have successfully completed the OTHM Higher Diploma and who have two year's management experience in the tourism and hospitality industry are eligible to apply for entry to London South Bank University's MSc programme.

OTHM entry requirements
There are a number of entry routes which take into account previous school leaver and graduate qualifications and allow you to study for the LCM qualifications, provided you are 18 or over.

Entry requirements
Introductory Certificate
Individuals who wish to commence or have commenced work in the tourism and hospitality industry + English language competencey of IELTS 6.0
NB If concurrent English language tuition is offered it is recommended that students have IELTS 5.0 at the beginning of the course and IELTS 6.0 by the completion of the course.
Certificate
Holders of OTHM Introductory Certificate or
5 GCSE's or 5 O'Levels or equivalent or
Equivalent academic qualifications or
Mature students with at least 5 year's relevant experience + English Language Competency (IELTS 6.0)

Diploma
Holders of OTHM Certificate or
Equivalent academic qualifications or
Mature students with a minimum of 8 year's relevant experience including 3 year's management experience
+ English Language Competency (IELTS 6.0)
* Holders of OTHM Diploma can apply for Associate Member status
Higher Diploma
Holders of OTHM Diploma or equivalent or
1st Degree or HND/HNC or equivalent
+ English Language Competency (IELTS 6.0)
* Holders of OTHM Higher Diploma can apply for Member status
