New syllabus

This new syllabus is designed to provide accounting knowledge, skills and professional values to finance professionals working in all sectors. There is a strong focus on professional values, ethics and governance in the ACCA Qualification.

If you have commenced your ACCA studies on the ACCA Professional Scheme, please contact the ACCA to find out which papers you are required to sit on the new syllabus.

Syllabus breakdown

The ACCA syllabus consists of 16 papers and is divided into four parts:

Knowledge Module (3 papers)
Skills Module (6 papers)
Essentials Module (3 papers)
Options Module (2 out of 4 papers)

Students must sit 14 papers.

The exam duration is two hours for the Knowledge Module and three hours for each paper in the other modules.

F7 Financial Reporting (FR)
F6 Taxation (TX)
F5 Performance Management (PM)
F4 Corporate and Business Law (CL)

KNOWLEDGE MODULE (all 3 papers)

F3 Financial Accounting (FA)
F2 Management Accounting (MA)
F1 Accountant in Business (AB)

ENTRYENTRY

* Note: International stream variants are taught on: Papers F3, F7, F8, P2 & P7.

UK variants are taught for Papers F6 & P6.
F4 is the English Law variant.

  

Ethics module

Students studying for the ACCA Qualification will be required to complete an online ethics training module developed by ACCA. Students will be given access to the Professional Ethics Module by ACCA as soon as they become eligible to take

Paper P1 and will be able to complete the module at their convenience.

Exam regulations- you are expected to sit the modules in the following order: Knowledge, Skills, Essentials and Options. ACCA also recommends that papers within a module are taken in order.- a maximum of four exams may be attempted at any one sitting.- you have 10 years to complete all exam papers from the date of registration.Exam timetablePaper-based exams will be offered over an eight
day period in:

- December
There will only be one session of exams each day so it is not possible to sit two exams which are held on the same day.

Membership

To become an ACCA member, students will be required to:
- successfully complete all the ACCA Qualification exams.
- successfully complete the online Professional Ethics module.
- show evidence of three years' relevant practical experience (PER).
